Skedaddle ske·dad·dle : To depart quickly or hurriedly; run away. |
Some of our performances are unique, multi-media experiences with both live music and visual presentations using projected images and lyrics. Other performances are more conventional musical presentations and for both types audience participation is a major objective in which “sing-along” is encouraged. |
“A Tour of the British Isles”: 45 mins.
“A Tour of the British Isles” consists of 12 traditional British folk songs which we play, and sing with a computer based rhythm accompaniment. Each song is presented with a narration and with sequenced, computer-controlled presentations of photographs, paintings and prints relevant to the lyrics of the song which are also projected on the screen behind us. The performance is intended to give the audience a sense of what a tour of the four countries of the British Isles would be like and to enable them to join in the singing of the well-known songs. |
“The 1897 Klondike – Edmonton’s Gold Rush”: 45 mins.
“The 1897Klondike – Edmonton’s Gold Rush” consists of narration and 17 songs from that era with sequenced, computer-controlled presentations of photographs relevant to the song lyrics which are also projected on the screen behind us when we perform. The performance is intended to give the audience an appreciation of the history of the Klondike Gold Rush, Edmonton’s history and role in that episode and to enable them to join in the singing of the well-known “1900’s standard” songs. |
We are “Skedaddle”- the musical duo of Lynne and Ian Pregitzer based in Strathcona County, Alberta. Lynne sings and plays flute, recorder and Irish whistle. Ian sings and plays guitar, banjo and mandolin. We both play ukulele. We perform on a voluntary, no-fee basis for hospitals, pre-schools, schools, senior care centres, and assisted living facilities. |
